Andreas: Board game nerd and writer

Designer, board game nerd and Berlin dad of two. Learns the rules, explains them at the table and writes most of the reviews, guides and news here.

About me

I'm Andreas, and at the table I'm the one who learns the rules and explains them. I love trying new games with my family, friends and neighbours. Good conversation is part of it, as long as the game keeps flowing.

What drives me up the wall: people who don't listen to the rules explanation and then, mid-game, say "Well, if I'd known that …". And phones at the table.

My confession: I buy most of my games not from the friendly local game store, but second-hand on classifieds.

When I'm not at the table, I'm happiest outside with wind or on the water: kitesurfing, wing foiling and wing skating on Tempelhofer Feld. I like tech, structure, logic and beautiful things.

For work, I'm a designer and co-founder of a digital agency in Berlin, focused on strategy, UX and new technology.
